Haversine Forums -> AirTrack - General Issues and Support FMC Won't Connect To Auto-Pilot

How do you get the FMC to connect to the auto-pilot? I have a flight plan built with speeds/ altitudes in it. But, when I start my flight and activate the AP, the plane doesn't follow the plan that the FMC is showing!

Hello, For FMC issues and AirTrack see this: https://haversine.com/forums/8/thread/374 Essentially it depends on which plane you're flying and how it behaves with X-Plane's navigation SDK. joao @ haversine

I’m using MS FSX. Could that be the issue?

I'm afraid Yes, FSX support is limited; you'll be able to control the plane heading, speed, using the MCP HDG, SPD buttons, and it may be possible to press the LNAV and VNAV MCP keys to follow the FSX internal flight plan. The initial flight plan from FSX is transferred to AirTrack's FMC page for read only (although this is the default plan, not advanced ones entered using an FMC). In essence there are several limitations, see: http://haversine.com/airtrack/msfs The best way to operate is to make the two independent; in the settings app of the iPad, scroll down to AirTrack and select Local Flight Plan FMC mode. Then enter the same flight plan on AirTrack and on FSX. The two will be independent but as long as they are the same, you'll be able to see and follow the plan on AirTrack's Navigation Display. hope this helps,
